The Explorer ST is the highest performing vehicle in the Explorer lineup. It’s powered by a 3.0L Twin Turbo engine. While it technically is the same engine that you’d find inside of the Platinum trim level, the ST is tuned differently pushing out more horsepower and torque!
What are some notable features of the Explorer ST?
The Explorer lineup still features Ford’s Sync3 media screen. That means you’ve got support for Android Auto and Apple Car Play to use things like Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze!
The Explorer ST has heated/ventilated 1st row seats and there’s an available technology package to give you a larger portrait style media screen.

Plus, there’s an optional 10.1″ portrait style screen! The Sync3 media screen supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play. You’ll have the flexibility to charge your phone and make calls all while using popular apps such as Waze or rock out to the LiveXLive or Pandora radio apps directly through the media screen.

The 2021 Explorer ST has 1 available engine choice and that’s the 3.0L Twin Turbo engine! It’s tuned slightly differently than the 3.0L in the Platinum trim level and is definitely a better bang for your buck!

Get better braking performance in the optional ST Street Pack or a larger media screen and upgraded 14 speaker sound system in the Premium Technology Package! The vehicle also can get a trailer tow package and sunroof right from the factory.
