2024 Ford Mustang GT | Is the 300a good enough this year?
A few years ago I said that the 300a Mustang GT is a good way to break into the 5.0L Coyote but this year I’m doubling down on that. The Ford Mustang got some pretty big upgrades for 2024, including standard selectable drive and steering modes across the entire vehicle lineup.
The exterior and interior got a redesign this year. There’s new technology and more power under the hood! As always, you’ll find it as a fastback or convertible, with the GT having the option for the GT Performance Package carried over from last year.
At first I wasn’t too crazy about the re-designed interior. I’m a fan of the toggle switches and enjoy the traditional gauges you’ll find with some packages. But the more time I’ve spent with the new S650 Mustang, the more I’ve come to enjoy the vehicle. There are a few other manufacturers who offer the large dual screens similar to the Mustang and besides, the Mustang had the fully digital cluster screen available in last year’s model too.
I think the refresh is stylish. And the addition of the new eBrake is icing on the cake.
In this video you’ll learn what you need to know about the 2024 Ford Mustang, I cover off the difference in trim levels, standard and available technology, the interior and more. I want you to judge if you also think the 300a is a good contender this year!
Sync4 with 13.2″ Infotainment
The new Mustang comes with Ford’s Sync4 media screen. That means it now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and has some unique features over the 2023 model. You’ll find it available with or without factory navigation too!
Engine options
The Mustang got some big upgrades under the hood of the Mustang. Both the 2.3L EcoBoost and 5.0L Coyote have been re-worked with significant changes coming to both. You’ll get the most power out of the new Dark Horse which has more advanced cooling than the GT
Added Packages
There are a number of new packages available for the S650 Mustang. You’ll find ones for better performance, like the GT Performance and EcoBoost High Performance Packs, and style like the Bronze Appearance Package.
