What are features of the Edge?
Sync4! There are a few small changes to the packages that are available but the new media screen for the 2021 model year is what stands out. They’ve completely changed the look and the functionality.
One of the biggest benefits of moving to Sync4 is that Android Auto and Apple Car Play are now wireless! That means no more fiddling with wires trying to get connected. This is even better if your car has the wireless charge port as you no longer need any cords to stay connected on the go!
The 2022 Ford Edge is available with either a 2.0L turbo or 2.7L turbo engine. One big change to the 2022 model is that the Edge now only comes with intelligent all wheel drive.
While there are some other minor changes like colours and packaged options, the big upgrade came in the 2021 model with the introduction of Ford’s new Sync4 system. The new media screen offers a smoother user experience, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play plus an enhanced voice assistant.

The all new Sync4 system gives you a productivity screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play and also has integrated Voice Activated Navigation! You’ll have the flexibility to charge your phone and make calls all while using popular apps such as Waze or rock out to the LiveXLive or Pandora radio apps directly through the media screen.
Engine options
The 2021/2022 Edge features the same 2 engines as the 2020 – either a 2.0L Turbo or a 2.7L turbo. The smaller engine is available on the SE, SEL, ST Line and Titanium trim levels while the 2.7L is available exclusively on the true ST trim level of the vehicle! With either 250 or 335 horsepower, there’s plenty of power available depending on your driving habits!
5 Different Trim Options
The SE trim level is a great entry level vehicle if you’re looking for a good amount of space and don’t care about the extras. While the ST trim level offers options heated/cooled front seats and the larger 2.7L turbocharged V6! There are catch options in between at varying price points with options like the panoramic roof, factory navigation and pleather or leather seats to fit within any budget!
