2021 Ford Escape S | Learn everything about the base level Escape
The 2020 Escape got an upgrade inside and out, giving it a rounder appearance, changing package options and modifying the base 1.5L engine. It pushes out way more power than the engine from the 2019 model and also brought in cylinder deactivation leading to improved fuel economy.
The 2021 went through some minor changes and in this video you’ll learn all about the base “S” trim level of the 2021 Ford Escape. You’ll find out about 1st and 2nd row spacing, cargo dimensions, standard tech and more!
What are some notable features of the Escape?
It’s available with either a regular gas engine or as a regular or plugin hybrid. Having said that, the hybrid is only available in the SE trim and up.
Sync
In the S model it’s Ford’s old Sync system with no option for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay or factory navigation.
Engine options
The Escape S model is available with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine. The 1.5L does have a nice amount of pep, but you’ll find the best amount of power in the larger 2.0L EcoBoost
Added Packages
You’ll find all kind of options for the Escape lineup. A popular option is the Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ Package which gives you adaptive cruise control and factory navigation that you’ll find in some of the higher trims
