2020 Ford Escape SEL Sync3 | Learn all about Sync3 in the Escape
The 2020 Ford Escape got an upgrade! The previous generation of the Escape from 2019 had a media screen that looked extremely dated. In 2020 Ford launched the new Escape platform which included a sleeker looking media screen.
Sync3 was developed by Ford in conjunction with QNX maker Blackberry Limited instead of sticking with Microsoft as they had with previous generations.
What are some of the features of Sync3 in the Escape SEL?
8″ Touchscreen
Sync3 in the Escape gives a large display that is pulled forward on the dash. And no, the display doesn’t retract it’s locked in place! That would be a pretty cool feature to see but as it stands the Sync3 screen is staying put where it is.
Android Auto and Apple Car Play
One of the exciting announcements when the Sync3 system was announced was the implementation of compatibility with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. You can use either one by simply connecting via USB!
Integrated Navigation
Available as an option throughout the Escape lineup is factory navigation! You can easily search for addresses by typing in an address or even using GPS coordinates. If you don’t have factory navigation you can always use Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze directly through the media screen.
In this video you’ll learn absolutely everything you need to know about the Sync3 Media Screen! Enjoy!
