2019 Ford F-150 Whitby Ontario
What Are You Going To Use The Truck For?
In order to figure out the best truck for your business, you first have to determine what you’re going to be using the truck for. Are you moving construction materials from one site to the next? What are your towing requirements? Will the vehicle be used strictly for work or will it be a personal vehicle as well?
What Kind of Cabin Do You Need?
The Ford F-150 has three available cabin choices. A Regular Cabin (reg. cab 2 door), Super Cabin (super cab 2 full doors, 2 suicide doors) and Super Crew (4 full doors). It’s a good idea to look at your current and future needs when determining what type of cabin to choose.

Regular Cab
Available for the XL and XLT trims, the F-150 Regular Cab provides comfortable seating for up to three passengers and is available with either a 6 ½ or 8-foot box size. This is a cabin that’s ideal for people who typically don’t carry many passengers or are wanting a larger box size.

Super Cab
The F-150 SuperCab is available for the XL, XLT, and Lariat grades and comes with a six-passenger maximum seating capacity. The SuperCab option can be paired with either 6 ½ or 8-foot boxes. This is an ideal configuration if you want to carry more passengers and get have a slightly larger box.

Super Crew
The SuperCrew cab style is available for all F-150 models except the base XL trim. It offers a maximum seating capacity of six passengers and can be combined with either a 5 ½ or 6 ½-foot box. This is an ideal configuration if you carry larger passengers or will be using the truck for business and personal use.
Ford F-150 Engine Choices
Capability is what defines a truly great pickup truck. Whether you’re hauling drywall to a job site or towing a boat for your yearly fishing trip, you want your truck to take care of everything you throw at it. Each engine option provides a unique combination of horsepower and torque, offering a distinct driving characteristic.
As you can see from the list below, there are quite a few options when it comes to the engine. If you’re towing a trailer, you’ll want to ensure that you hover around 70% of the maximum towing capacity. This will ensure optimal engine performance and fuel economy.
Ford F-150 Diesel vs. Gas vs. EcoBoost®
While gas and diesel engines are similar, there are major differences that set them apart when it comes to function and efficiency. The main difference between the two types of engines is how they achieve combustion. Gasoline engines rely on fuel and air compression aided by spark plugs to ignite fuel, while a diesel engine relies on air compression alone to ignite fuel. Diesel fuel is also much more energy-dense than gasoline, which means that it can create more power with a smaller amount of fuel. The resulting combination of high-compression and energy-dense fuel makes for a more efficient engine overall.
While EcoBoost® engines help close the gap between gasoline and diesel engines through the use of advanced turbocharging technology and direct fuel injection, diesel engines offer higher torque that is ideal for towing.
